Dried mandarin peel , approximate weight 50g per package, its use is well known in part of Chinese gastronomy and traditional medicine.
It is achieved by extracting the peel or skin of the tangerine left and dried in the sun, very popular and sought after, especially from the Xinhui region.
Its flavor is aromatic, with bitter touches. Its most common uses are soups, stews, desserts, marinades and in tea.
It has many medicinal properties known, for example for coughs and phlegm, and recently, beneficial properties have been discovered for cancer, especially lung cancer.
The most common way to use it is to soak it and stir it in cold water until it becomes soft but never more than 30 minutes so as not to lose flavor, then strain the water, with a fruit knife, scrape to remove the white part and return to strain.
