Sardine roe in oil. The so-called Portuguese caviar is, simply, sardine roe in oil. The softness of the flavor and texture make this preserve an increasingly exclusive product.

Cego do Maio preserves are prepared from fresh fish directly from the fish market, to preserve all the flavor and properties of the fish. This is cleaned and pre-cooked according to the traditional method, without the need to use other artificial forms of preservation. By being sterilized and hermetically sealed in the cans, the fish preserves all the proteins, lipids and carbohydrates naturally.

Ingredients: Sardine eggs (Sardina Pichardus) (65%), oil and salt.
