Seasoning, in 50g sachets from the Mama Sita's brand, to prepare the most typical and traditional dish of Filipino cuisine: Adobo.
As we can imagine, due to our influence in the Philippines, the name is familiar to us but when we open the envelope, the familiar becomes something almost magical like a return to the past, garlic, bay leaf and black pepper are the smells that stand out from the rest and They send us to our grandmothers' stews.
Easy to prepare, with chicken, beef but especially pork, we just have to add the contents of the sachet (50g for each kilo of meat) in a bowl and warm water (one glass for every 50g of marinade) and stir.
With the meat cut into large pieces, we will add the sauce and let it marinate for 15 minutes, then we will remove the meat, leaving the juice intact, we will fry until it is marked and we will add the juice.
We lower the heat and leave it for 15 minutes until the meat is tender and the sauce has thickened (add water if it is too thick).
We serve it with jasmine rice, we will notice that that previous smell of garlic, bay leaf and black pepper is transferred to the flavor combined with a light vinegary touch similar to pickle and a small pinch of spiciness, very slight, from the black pepper.
A great discovery
