Canned Okra 400g

India

€2.95

Okra , kimbombó, ñajú, molondrón and even "poor man's asparagus" is how this pyramid-shaped vegetable is known, with a size between 1 and 2 dm in diameter, very green, at its peak.

In Europe it is unknown and its consumption is very unusual, complicated, very difficult to find fresh, it is used, however, in half the world.

From the Creole cuisine of the southern United States such as Gombo, passing through the Caribbean and South America, we go to the Middle East and its Mediterranean side where it is consumed stewed and spicy with rice, praised for its "loving" properties (Egyptians and Lebanese consider it an aphrodisiac) and in Indian cuisine for vegetarian curry since it is its largest producer there.

On a medicinal level, it is very effective at the pectoral level and for tonsillitis.

In undrained 400g jars, various brands available such as Natco, KTC, AP, etc.
