Part of the 4 Arab spices, with a flavor similar to that of anise, it is used in a large number of breads, in cheeses in northern Europe, in Tunisian harissa , in the preparation of sauerkraut in Germany and Holland, in dishes such as Hungarian goulash , even in our gastronomy formerly with cabbage and boiled potatoes
Also a good digestive infusion for after meals.
